Nikon finally released the official D3 sample photos, ISO ranging from 200 to 6400. Low light performance of this beast was what everybody was waiting for, as that will be the decisive factor for many pro photographers. As we have seen from the sample photos, high ISO image quality of Nikon D3 is stunning. New full frame CMOS sensor of D3 seems to be working very well.

All sample D3 photos are taken with AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm F2.8G ED except one which is taken with Ai AF NIKKOR 85 mm F1.4D.

Even though we have to wait for more samples shot at different lighing conditions to evaluate the real high ISO performance of D3, these official samples in my opinion are good indicators of an upcoming new high ISO champion.
