I would like to start this post telling how I become the first one to review this monstrous Canon 800mm f/5.6L IS USM but I didn't. Instead I red this great review by The-Digital-Picture.com and wanted you not to miss it too.
Canon 800mm f/5.6L IS USM is the most expensive lens in the Canon lens line-up except the 1200mm f/5.6 (I am not sure if Canon is wtill producing this lens so probably first you have to find someone who owns it and then convince him to sell it), though it is not the heaviest. 800mm f/5.6L weighs 4,5 kg (9,9 lbs), whereas 400mm f/2.8L weighs 5.,370 kg (11,8 lbs.) and the 600mm f/4L weighs 5.,360 kg (11,8 lbs.).
Well you better read this in-depth review of the Canon 800mm f/5.6L IS USM here and enjoy! And leave me alone here in misery with my 18-70mm...
