Free Software: Photo Filtre PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 13 September 2007

If you are a non-pro photographer who don’t need the most advanced features of professional image editing softwares and don’t want to pay hundred of $ for things that you will never use, then Photo Filtre is what you are looking for. Photo Filtre is a complete image editing program which allows you adjust your photos (Brightness, contrast, dyed, saturation, gamma correction ...) and apply a vast range of filters (more then 100 filters), which in my opinion would easily fulfill all the requirements of an average photographer, and it is completely free.

Another advantage of this software is that it requires very small disk space (only 1.6 MB) and is quite fast. As an example, the time it takes me to start Photo Filter, open one of my photos, adding saturation, and saving is less then the start up time of Photoshop CS3. If you are familiar with any kind of photo editinf software, you won’t have any difficulty getting used to it.

Other functions of Photo Filtre: Image browser, adding frames to photos, Plug-in management, Transparency management for GIF images and exporting them to icons, advanced text effects, several types of contours and textures, Blending and assembling of images. There is also an Automatisation module which allows users to apply basic functions/corrections (conversion, image size, framing) to a group of images.
